BIM – Coordinator (Structural Specialist)
Job Summary
Technovalence Engineering Consultant Private Limited is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented BIM Coordinator – Structural Specialist to lead the structural modeling and coordination processes for complex engineering projects. This role demands technical expertise in structural BIM workflows, proficiency in advanced modeling software, and strong leadership in multidisciplinary coordination. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless model integration, adherence to industry standards, and efficiency in project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the development, management, and coordination of structural BIM models across various projects.
- Ensure seamless collaboration between structural, architectural, and MEP disciplines, resolving coordination challenges proactively.
- Implement and uphold BIM standards, protocols, and best practices to enhance model integrity and efficiency.
- Conduct clash detection, troubleshooting, and quality control to maintain project accuracy and compliance.
- Drive workflow optimization, ensuring models adhere to project specifications and industry regulations.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior BIM professionals, fostering skill development and innovation.
- Facilitate coordination meetings, stakeholder communication, and project documentation to support seamless execution.
Qualifications and Skills
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a closely related field.
Demonstrated experience as a BIM Coordinator – Structural Specialist or in a similar capacity.
- Strong understanding of BIM Level 2, ISO 19650 standards, and project workflows.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, Tekla, Staad Pro and AutoCAD for structural modeling and coordination.
- In-depth knowledge of structural systems, steel and concrete detailing, and reinforcement modeling.
- Expertise in clash detection, interdisciplinary coordination, and model interoperability.
- Strong understanding of industry codes and standards (ACI, AISC, IS codes, BS standards).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
- Leadership skills with experience in mentoring junior team members.

- Previous experience in international projects (USA, UK, Middle East, etc.).
- Experience in parametric modeling and computational design.
